No profiles or tracking
AniNow has no accounts, sign-in or submission forms, comments, persistent favorites, first-party analytics, advertising trackers, or required cookies. You are not asked to provide personal information.
Your theme choice
If you use the theme switcher, your choice is stored only in your browser’s sessionStorage. It lasts for the current tab session and is not sent to AniNow. AniNow does not use localStorage for this preference.
Anime data requests
Your browser requests anime data from AniNow’s own /api/… endpoints. AniNow’s server-side code then contacts the official MyAnimeList API with a server-only Client ID; that credential is never sent to your browser.
Cover images
Anime cover images load directly from MyAnimeList’s image host. As with any direct image request, that host receives ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser details.
Links to MyAnimeList
MyAnimeList pages open only when you choose an external title link. Once you follow one, MyAnimeList’s own privacy practices apply.
