A current-season field guide
AniNow is an open-source discovery site built for quick comparisons, not a replacement for an anime list. It combines currently airing titles with a compact weekly schedule and title details.
What enters the ranking
Eligible TV anime marked as currently airing are included. Movies, ONA, OVA, specials, and explicit adult or Hentai entries are excluded. A finished TV title stays in the same leaderboard for an inclusive 14-day grace period when its final air date is reliable; otherwise AniNow does not guess.
How rank works
The default order uses MyAnimeList’s supplied score—AniNow adds no rating formula or minimum-vote threshold. Ties are broken by more users scored, then title alphabetically. The canonical rank number stays attached when you filter or sort by popularity, members, newest, or title.
A score of zero or an unavailable score is treated as unranked. Eligible titles without a usable score remain visible under Not Ranked Yet, alphabetically and without a rank number.
Freshness, honestly labeled
The Cloudflare layer fetches and normalizes data directly from the official MyAnimeList API v2, with an AniNow cache target of 30 minutes. The countdown estimates AniNow’s next refresh; it does not claim second-by-second MyAnimeList freshness. When an upstream refresh fails, a recent complete dataset may be shown and clearly labeled stale.
